Even though I found the concept kinda poorly executed at first I like the amount of exploration I can do around the house. Reaper (Completed) -Osnap custom charsets and portraits, nice~ -Charsets are pretty well done -Oh some Cg thrown in as well~ -Liking the soothing melody. Overall the game is a solid effort so far, and I'll play it until the end as with all other entries, though it doesn't stand out the way Subterranean, grumpy and reaper did to me, feels more "default" than the games I mentioned. combat is pretty balanced as well! I'm a sucker for multi-hits. Trying to explore around in a confusing layout, in order to advance the story, while getting 321321x random encounters thrown at me was no fun :( -I like the elaborate mechanics behind skills so far. Had to quit in the first dungeon after the encounter rate made me get sick of battles. Something about the dialogue doesn't appeal to me. Encounter rate a bit high, discourages exploration -loving Camelia's overall theme. Maps are a bit too bare and empty, no real incentive for exploration. Text cut-ins before battles are a nice touch. Dragons' Descendants (Still paying) -The small world map sprite was a nice touch. Good music choices too, and no complains about the dialogue so far. I want victoria as a party member ~ -Maps are pretty. You guys love heavy hitters huh? w barely survived the first fight with 3 hp lolol. Lawl those damage pop-ups look great in action. I didn't give a shit about the reason I must go hunt for monsters.feels good. Some grammar issues with the letter, must be fixed to improve the experience~ -Many instances of the word Inane, but that's fine~ -Lovely boat CG. Definitely doesn't feel like a default RM game, great job so far~ The Grumpy Knight (Still playing) -Sticks very well to a non serious theme. Dungeon layout is elaborate, but sort of intuitive to navigate through. Gonna be hard for other entries to top this now. Fun battles and cute battlers, no graphical clash whatsoever~ -I think I'm playing the future people's choice winner game rite here. I like the fact the meter kinda helps me see it coming, instead of abruptly interrupting my exploration. In your face parallax mappers! -town music so peaceful. Sorry gais I'm a mere mortal w -Did I mention SUBTERRENEAN STARFIELD is a clever name? it sure is. Pretty system sounds, as expected of nessxrhyme. Subterreanean Starfield (Still playing) -ffff this opening theme. These are all mostly notes I write as I play,so screw format. I found time to play some of the games today, here are my thoughts so far. If you want to see what you can do under such restrictions Deckiller has made a game in Ace Lite called Kolmesarta. You can download RPG Maker VX Ace Lite here. Any game found violating these restrictions will be disqualified. Of course changing the database caps through other means is also right out. Injecting scripts is not allowed beyond using the enabled script calls for their intended purposes. Need more than sixteen items? Make your key items weapons nobody can equip! Want more than ten playable characters? Perhaps when one leaves the party you could overwrite its name and stats with your new character! Twenty five troops too limiting? Make a troop that adds random enemies via battle events! Please note: While it is possible to add your own scripts to a game through devious means the spirit of the Ace Lite restriction rules in this contest. These are strictly implementation restrictions that you are free to work around. Other script commands in Assign Variable, Condition Branch, and Move Event are still enabled. The 'Script' event command is disabled. There are no other database restrictions. The restrictions of Ace Lite are as follows: Maximum Database Entries The tool of choice is RPG Maker VX Ace Lite! It is the free but feature limited version of RPG Maker VX Ace.
